Asteroid 2007 ML24 to fly past Earth on 4 July at 9 lunar distances

On Saturday, 4 July, asteroid 523808 (2007 ML24) will fly past Earth at a distance equal to nine times the Earth–Moon distance. It is the latest in a series of space rocks to pass relatively close to our planet in recent weeks. The flyby poses no threat to Earth.
