Scientists create synthetic 'blobs' with lab-made DNA that feed and multiply
Researchers say they are closer to creating life from scratch after building tiny, quivering structures containing lab-made DNA that can feed, grow and multiply in a dish. Professor Kate Adamala of the University of Minnesota describes it as a significant step in synthetic biology. Scientists hope the work will shed light on how life originally emerged on Earth.
