Polish banks could lose 50 bln PLN in capital in a debt-crisis scenario, warns mBank's fund

Fund managers at mTFI mBank warn that Polish banks could see their capital shrink by up to 50 billion zloty in a worst-case debt crisis scenario. However, they reassure investors that Poland faces no risk of default in the foreseeable future, making Polish government bonds a safe asset. The managers recommend actively managed funds over passive ones given expected market volatility.
