'Minions & Monsters' Opens to $13.75M on Its First Day in the US

Illumination and Universal's "Minions & Monsters" posted an estimated $13.75 million opening day at the US box office, excluding previews. Directed by Pierre Coffin and produced by Chris Meledandri, the film is the seventh instalment in the Despicable Me and Minions franchise, which has grossed $5.6 billion worldwide. The animated feature debuted at number one for the day.
