Google to Pay Nearly €2bn in Sweden for Search Manipulation
Alphabet, Google's parent company, will pay nearly €2 billion in compensation for systematically favouring its own services in search results at the expense of competitors. The case concerns search engine manipulation that violated fair competition rules. It is one of the largest penalties ever imposed on Google in Europe.
