Xbox Tests Disc Digitization Feature Ahead of Project Helix Launch

On the same day Sony announced it would stop producing physical game discs after January 2028, reports emerged that Xbox is testing a feature to digitize physical game discs. Microsoft's next console, codenamed Project Helix, is expected to ship without a disc drive. The digitization tool would allow players with physical game collections to convert them to digital format.
