TROP2 targeting overcomes therapy resistance in colorectal cancer via antibody-drug conjugates
A study published in Nature found that the protein TROP2 marks poor-prognosis colorectal cancer cells with fetal-like, therapy-resistant properties. Targeting TROP2 with antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) combined with chemotherapy improved treatment efficacy by modulating tumour cell plasticity. The approach effectively overcomes resistance mechanisms in these cancer cells.
