Sony to stop making PlayStation game discs from 2028

Sony has confirmed it will stop producing physical game discs for PlayStation from 2028, citing the growing shift toward digital purchases and downloads. The move will definitively end the ability to swap games with friends, sell old titles or buy second-hand. Sony becomes the first major console platform holder to make the full transition to digital-only game releases.
