Edinburgh Film Festival 2026 opens Aug 13 with Ewan McGregor and Trainspotting reunion

The Edinburgh Film Festival 2026 will open on August 13 with Louis Paxton's "The Incomer". Guests will include Ewan McGregor, Kenneth Branagh and prolific US producer Christine Vachon. The programme also features a Trainspotting cast reunion and films including "I Want Your Sex" and "Sheep in the Box".
