Comcast split forces Peacock to prove it can stand alone in streaming

Comcast is planning to split NBCUniversal, Peacock and Sky from its broadband and wireless businesses. Once separated, Peacock will lose the financial backing of the combined company and will have to compete independently in the streaming market. NBCUniversal executives now face a defining test of whether Peacock can survive on its own merits.
