Hegseth creates autonomy czar to oversee nearly all US drone programmes

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has created a new "autonomy czar" role that, according to an internal memo obtained by Breaking Defense, covers all ground vehicles, all small air vehicles and almost all sea autonomous systems. The new position reports directly to Deputy Defence Secretary Stephen Feinberg.
