Hundreds of thousands rush for tickets to see Bayeux Tapestry at British Museum

The Bayeux Tapestry, the 11th-century embroidery depicting the Norman conquest of England, will go on display at the British Museum in London for ten months from September. Tens of thousands of people rushed to buy tickets as soon as they went on sale. This marks the first time the historic artefact has been exhibited in the United Kingdom.
