Poland refuses fighter jets to Ukraine over unfulfilled drone deal

Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz has refused to supply Ukraine with Polish fighter jets, citing Kyiv's failure to fulfil a drone supply agreement. Defence24 editor Aleksander Olech criticises Warsaw for signing agreements it cannot deliver on and warns that other countries will step in to fill Poland's role. Olech also flags that the US is withdrawing hundreds of military specialists from Europe, and that establishing a permanent American base in Poland would carry enormous costs.
