Czarnek blames government for fuel price rises after end of CPN programme

Fuel prices at Polish petrol stations rose after the government's "Ceny Paliwa Niżej" (Lower Fuel Prices) programme expired, prompting PiS politician Przemysław Czarnek to attack the ruling coalition. Czarnek blamed the current government for high fuel costs, even though turmoil on the fuel market began as early as March. Commentators note that the instability predates the end of the programme and cannot solely be attributed to the current government.
