Emirates and Qatar Airways offer war coverage insurance to lure back Middle East travellers
Emirates and Qatar Airways have introduced special passenger insurance covering medical costs, extended stays and flight changes caused by armed conflict or airspace closures — risks excluded from standard travel policies. The move comes as security in the Middle East gradually stabilises but travel insurance gaps continue to deter tourists. The two Gulf carriers aim to rebuild traveller confidence and recover revenues lost during the regional conflict.
