Germany ends fuel tax relief — petrol and diesel prices jump immediately

Germany's fuel tax reduction of 16.7 euro cents per litre, in force since 1 May, expired at midnight between Tuesday and Wednesday. The ADAC automobile club confirmed that petrol and diesel prices at German filling stations rose noticeably as a result. Drivers will feel the increase with every fill-up.
