Tens of thousands march in South Africa demanding crackdown on illegal migrants
On June 30th, tens of thousands of people marched in South Africa's largest cities, called by around 20 organisations demanding tighter immigration controls. Recent clashes between South Africans and migrants have left at least four people dead, and more than 25,000 undocumented migrants have already left the country. The marches were largely peaceful, with only a few arrests for attempted looting; police remain on high alert.
