Polish Parliament Fast-Tracks Nuclear Power Plant Investment Law
On Wednesday 1 July, the Polish Sejm held the second reading of a government bill amending the law on nuclear energy investment. All parliamentary clubs declared support, but submitted amendments mean the bill returns to committee. PiS accused the government of delaying the programme, with MP Marek Suski noting Poland is the only country in the region without a nuclear power plant.
