Poland's fuel price subsidy programme cost nearly PLN 5 billion — ministry calls it a success
Poland's government fuel price subsidy programme, Ceny Paliwa Niżej (CPN), cost the state budget nearly PLN 5 billion, according to the Ministry of Finance. Despite the enormous expense, the ministry describes the programme as a success. The scheme was designed to lower fuel prices at Polish petrol stations.
