Poland's fuel price cap programme cost 4.7 billion złoty
Poland's Ministry of Finance has confirmed to PAP that the government's Ceny Paliwa Niżej (CPN) fuel price subsidy programme cost approximately 4.7 billion złoty. The scheme kept fuel prices artificially low at petrol stations and was funded by the state budget. Despite the multi-billion-złoty price tag, the ministry described the programme as a "success."
