US Lifts Export Controls on Anthropic's Fable and Mythos AI Models
The US Commerce Department has lifted export controls on Anthropic's AI models Fable and Mythos, less than three weeks after access was suspended over national security concerns. Washington has been stepping up oversight of new AI model releases amid fears they could be misused by military intelligence in China, Russia or other countries of concern. The lifting of controls allows foreign users to access the models again.
