US lifts national-security restrictions on Anthropic's advanced AI models

The US government has lifted restrictions on Anthropic's advanced AI models Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5, which had been limited on national security grounds. OpenAI had also been asked to restrict the rollout of its latest GPT-5.6 model to vetted partners only.
