KGHM and South32 to expand Sierra Gorda mine to 60 million tonnes per year

Polish mining giant KGHM, together with Australia's South32, will invest in a fourth grinding line at the Sierra Gorda mine in Chile. The expansion will increase the facility's processing capacity from approximately 48 million to 60 million tonnes of ore per year. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2029.
