Education Minister Nowacka pushes for 11% teacher pay rise, pressures finance ministry

Polish Education Minister Barbara Nowacka said on Wednesday that teachers' wages are rising too slowly and pledged to keep pressing the finance minister for an 11% pay increase. She also criticised a bill proposed by the Polish Teachers' Union that would tie teacher salaries to the national average wage, calling it in need of revision.
