Fuel Prices Jump by Dozens of Grosze from July 1 as Government Shield Ends

From 1 July 2026, the Polish government's fuel price protection scheme ended and VAT on fuel returned to its higher rate. Drivers were hit by price increases of several dozen grosze per litre at petrol stations on Wednesday morning. A full tank of petrol will now cost significantly more for Polish consumers.
