Storms lash Poland: flooding, fallen trees and flooded basements reported

An active storm front is moving across Poland, bringing lightning and heavy rain to many regions since the early morning. Poland's meteorological institute IMGW has issued warnings for severe weather, with fire services especially busy in the western and central parts of the country. The most common call-outs involve localised flooding, fallen trees and flooded basements.
