Iran plans to charge ships for Strait of Hormuz transit after 60-day window
Iran's chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf announced that free transit through the Strait of Hormuz will only last 60 days, in line with a preliminary peace agreement. After that period, ships will face transit fees. The New York Times also reported that Oman is planning to introduce its own transit charges for ships passing through its waters.
