Trump family firm plans luxury Albanian resorts – on a mined island and protected land

A company linked to Jared Kushner, son-in-law of President Donald Trump, plans to build two luxury resorts in Albania. One is earmarked for an island that may still contain landmines; the other for a protected area where flamingo habitats are at risk. Mass protests have been ongoing in the Albanian capital Tirana for weeks, with flamingos becoming the symbol of the opposition to the project.
