Semi-Truck vs. Full Truck: The Engineering Difference Explained

A semi-truck is a tractor unit paired with a semi-trailer that has no front axle of its own, resting instead on the tractor's fifth-wheel coupling. A full truck is a single-unit vehicle with its own cargo body. The "semi" name comes from "semi-trailer," referring to a trailer that is only half a unit. The two differ in manoeuvrability, payload capacity and typical road applications.
