Czech party SPD moves to strip Zelensky of Order of the White Lion
The Czech party SPD (Freedom and Direct Democracy) is pushing to strip Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of the Order of the White Lion, the Czech Republic's highest state honour. The demand follows Zelensky's decision to name a special forces unit after the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), a move that has also caused controversy in Poland. Poland previously took similar steps regarding Zelensky's decorations over the same issue.
