Italy Buys Etruscan Frescoes for Millions, Puts Them on Public Display in Rome
Italy paid millions of euros to reacquire ancient Etruscan frescoes discovered in a burial chamber and has put them on public display in Rome. The artworks depict battles between ancient heroes of the Mediterranean world. The paintings had previously left the country but have now been returned and made accessible to the public.
