Apple Asks US Supreme Court to Reverse Contempt Finding Over App Store Fees
Apple has appealed to the US Supreme Court to overturn a contempt finding stemming from its App Store dispute with Epic Games. Apple charged a 30% commission on in-app purchases and initially blocked links to external payment methods; when ordered to allow such links, it imposed a 27% fee on link-outs. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in December that this violated the spirit of the court order.
