Maduro sued in US court over alleged authorization of police killings

Five families whose relatives were killed during a deadly police campaign in Venezuela have filed a lawsuit against former president Nicolás Maduro in a US federal court in Brooklyn. They accuse him of personally authorizing the police killings. The case represents another legal attempt to hold Maduro accountable for human rights abuses.
