NASA creates fifth state of matter aboard orbiting lab

NASA is creating a Bose-Einstein condensate — the fifth state of matter — aboard an orbiting laboratory. The lab, roughly the size of a mini fridge, is conducting experiments in microgravity to tackle fundamental questions about physics on a cosmic scale.
