Only a fraction of eligible kids enrolled in 'Trump accounts' ahead of July 4 launch

New savings accounts for children, formally called 530A accounts and branded as "Trump accounts," are set to launch on July 4, but only a fraction of eligible children have been enrolled. Many parents say they do not want the accounts, while others are unaware the programme exists. Experts warn that children could collectively miss out on billions of dollars in long-term wealth if uptake remains low.
