LOT Plane's Accidental Hijack Signal Scrambles Fighters from Three Countries

The crew of a LOT Polish Airlines flight from Warsaw to Tel Aviv accidentally transmitted a hijack signal, triggering an international alert. Fighter jets from Bulgaria, Turkey and Israel were scrambled to intercept the aircraft. The plane turned back near Cyprus and landed safely in Burgas, Bulgaria, with no injuries reported.
