SEC opens review of rules for novel ETFs, including crypto funds

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has opened a public comment period as it considers overhauling its approach to novel exchange-traded funds, including those in the cryptocurrency sector. Fund managers operating in the crypto ETF space could face new regulatory requirements as a result. The full scope of proposed changes has not yet been disclosed.
