Half-Life 2 art director's final game revealed: a Soulslike FPS set in a dying American West

Studio Eschatology Entertainment has revealed Guns of Eschaton, the final project of Viktor Antonov — art director of Half-Life 2 and Dishonored — who died on February 7, 2025, aged 53. The game is described as "the world's first Soulslike FPS," set in a fantastical 19th-century Old American South filled with ruined settlements, monsters and impossible machines. Players control a lone man who has lost almost everything but still has his guns.
