End of WIBOR: banks to offer borrowers switch to POLSTR rate

Under a draft Polish law, banks will be required to offer mortgage and loan borrowers the option to switch their interest rate benchmark from WIBOR to the new POLSTR index. The regulation aims to speed up the voluntary conversion of financial instruments to the new rate. Polish Bank Association president Tadeusz Białek said the banking sector welcomes the proposal.
