Tidal drops AI streaming royalties to protect artists

Tidal has announced it will forgo royalties generated by AI-driven streams, giving up significant revenue in order to protect musicians. The streaming platform views AI-automated plays as a threat to the music ecosystem and to human creators. It is one of the few streaming services to voluntarily sacrifice income in the name of artist protection.
