UN investigators: Israel deliberately targeting Palestinian children's heads in Gaza

The UN's Independent International Commission of Inquiry released a report describing what it calls the "deliberate killing of Palestinian children" by Israel since October 7, 2023. Commission chair Srinivasan Muralidhar cited doctors' testimonies about children arriving with gunshot wounds specifically targeted at the head and neck to cause maximum damage. The Commission called for urgent international action, stating that the "essence of childhood" has been destroyed in Gaza and the West Bank.
