EU pays Ukraine €3.9bn first tranche for military drone procurement

The European Commission on Tuesday began disbursing €3.9 billion as the first tranche of an approximately €6 billion package designated for purchasing drones for Ukraine's military. This forms part of a broader €90 billion loan to Kyiv. The funds are intended to finance unmanned aerial vehicles supporting Ukraine's armed forces.
