JSW on the brink of bankruptcy as union warns Polish mining faces systemic crisis

Bogusław Ziętek, chairman of the Sierpień 80 trade union, has warned that Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa (JSW) is on the verge of bankruptcy and that Polish mining is facing one of its hardest periods in years. He says none of the sector's key problems have been resolved and that the crisis could soon spread to other companies. JSW has still not received the expected financial support.
