Polish universities can issue digital diplomas from today; mandatory from 2027

Starting Tuesday, Polish universities can officially issue digital diplomas (mDyplomy) to graduates, carrying the same legal weight as paper documents. The Ministry of Digitalisation announced that from 1 January 2027, the digital format will become mandatory for all university graduation diplomas. Doctoral students also gain access to a digital student ID (e-legitymacja).
