Polish mortgage lending up nearly 50% year-on-year in May 2026

Polish banks and credit unions granted almost 50% more mortgage loans in May 2026 than in the same month a year earlier, reaching an all-time high. Consumer instalment and cash loans also grew, though the number of new credit cards issued declined.
