UK to lower stablecoin capital buffers, undercutting EU's MiCA rules

The UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has proposed lower capital buffer requirements for stablecoin issuers, going below the standards set by the EU's MiCA regulation. The move follows the Bank of England's earlier backtracking on individual stablecoin holding limits. London is clearly positioning itself as a more permissive hub for crypto issuers than the European Union.
