Medicare to cover obesity drugs for the first time, including Ozempic

Medicare will for the first time cover obesity drugs such as Ozempic and Wegovy, unlocking access for millions of American seniors who previously could not afford them. The change is expected to significantly boost revenues for drugmakers Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly. Until now, these medications were out of reach for many older patients without adequate insurance coverage.
