Poland breaks all-time heat record at 40.5°C in Słubice, new heatwave approaching

On Sunday 28 June, Słubice recorded 40.5°C — a new all-time temperature record for Poland, surpassing the previous mark set in July 1921. Toruń reached 40.3°C the same day. While central and eastern Poland remain gripped by extreme heat, severe storms hit the west. European 10-day forecasts point to another heatwave building over Spain and France, though whether it will reach Poland remains uncertain.
