Tusk to rule on ban on outdoor work in heatwaves – bill blocked for 18 months
The Polish Ministry of Family and Labour has been pushing for regulations requiring work stoppages in extreme heat for the past 18 months, but the draft regulation by minister Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk has been sent for inter-ministerial consultations three times without result due to coalition tensions. Prime Minister Donald Tusk is set to make a final decision on Tuesday. The issue has resurfaced amid record-breaking temperatures in Poland.
