Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui sentenced to 30 years for $1bn crypto fraud
Guo Wengui, a self-exiled Chinese billionaire, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for orchestrating a fraud conspiracy worth more than $1 billion involving cryptocurrency. He was arrested in 2023. The case ranks among the largest crypto-linked financial crimes in recent years.
